What is Soapbox?

Soapbox is an app that turns an ordinary presentation into a social presentation experience. By combining your presentation or lesson with a twitter feed you unlock a powerful connection to your audience. Any tweet with a hashtag that you specify will automatically show up next to your presentation allowing you to get feedback from your audience. With SoapBox, any question that your audience may have during your presentation can be asked, and answered without interrupting your presentation!

Who should use Soapbox?

Soapbox can be used in several different venues in which you need realtime feedback and/or content sharing. Soapbox is a great fit for presenting at conferences or sharing content in the classroom.

How do I get started using Soapbox?
To get started simply click: build your soapbox

This will allow you to edit various presentation settings

At the top of the box you will see an option to enter your
presentation URL. This can be any online resource, for this example we
will use a google presentation.

Next you can specify a hashtag for your presentation. Your audience
simply tweets questions or comments followed by this hashtag and they
will be displayed along side your presentation.

The next two options allow you to adjust the refresh settings to your
preference. By default the refresh rate is set to 15 seconds.

Click done.

You will now see your presentation alongside your twitter feed!
